Inspired by Scott Gustafson’s ANIMAL ORHCESTRA, the children expressed a lot of interest in musical instruments beyond what they interact with in our rich collection. To deepen their inquiry, we invited a musician who not only played a couple of string instruments, but also answered the children’s questions. Each child tried to create sounds on several new instruments. The musician’s visit led us to listening of various kinds of classical music featuring some instruments we tried.
